Progress so Far

Well hello, everyone again.

Also, appologies for no update in 5 days, if anyone is so avidly following the blog that they will be let down Smile

Anyway, the news is that one of our old members, Distortion, has rejoined the new site. Its the only familiar name I see in the list of members so far but still, a very warm welcome to him. Hopefully, we'll be seeing some of his excellent games up here soon.

So, again, thanks for listening (or should I say reading)

Update for 24/07/10

Well, hello again.

Appologies for the lack of regular updates recently. Im afraid I've been tied up in matters other than the website and so have not had a chance to update my blog here.

Unfortunate news is, though there is nothing to tell. Well, thats a slight lie. We now have around 20 members and about 70 page hits so I hope this means the website is building a status for itself within this internet. What we need now, though, more than anything is contributors, people who are willing to contribute to the society, as I cannot maintain this on my own forever.

Anyone who has anything to say or contribute is massively welcomed,

Regards,
Michael Renfrew

On the 21st June 2010

Well, another day has passed and I have updated the website yet again.

There are quite a few changes and updates despite my slightly resigned tone, though.

Firstly..

Update for 20/07/10

Well everyone,

Today I concentrated mainly on getting the statistics system up and running for the website. I also keep a keen eye on the spam users which seem to be getting greater in number.

I also see, the site is getting more status due to the rising hit counters. This is inspiring of hope. Please comment wherever and about whatever you want.

Your opinion is welcomed.

Good Night (from UK),

Update for 19/07/10

Well everyone, I vowed to update the blog everyday with the updates so here they are.

A simple list will suffice for today:

  • Configured the wiki logo, a small task it may seem but it now displays the traditional emblem of the Casio Classpad calculator. It's gonna take some work though to get the wiki back up to what it was (which was though, rather not a lot to be completely honest)
  • Added a contact page to the navigation bar, which I dont think "unauthorised" ie. "unregistered" users can access. It's gonna take some fidding with the permissions to get this completely right, but I'm sure I will get there

Website Rennovation

Ok, Hello.

From now on I will blog the state and development of the website, and I will post every day, so that you are all up to date, however small the news.

A while ago, I launched Casio-Dev as a calculator programming website. It was a fair website at launch, and I visited and maintained it regularly. Slowly though, my time for it became less and less and it was abandoned for a whole 6 months or so. In those days I had programmed for it a slow, badly-designed and bulky CMS of my own. I used the Simple Machines Forum software for the forum and MediaWiki for the Wiki......
